New start-up Launched for Healthcare Education

Louisville-based Founder Vanessa Williams Harvey of DUES24, LLC will soon unveil the first go-to web application of HippoCLINM just for healthcare students and designed to enhance the clinical healthcare education by creating an electronic health record (EHR) environment.  This launch was made possible after receiving early stage, pre-seed investment from state and national resources.

Commitment

Healthcare students will reap the rewards of having the ability to practice, grow, and learn in an environment that is safe for them to use with the added benefit of obtaining exposure to technology that many clinicians never experience until only after they graduate.

The HippoCLIN app is in a unique position to take the clinical learning experience to another level; one not yet seen nor heard of before by providing a much-needed and long-awaited enhancement to the student clinical and learning experience that validates learning, satisfies expectations and adequately developes students to become proficient, confident, experienced and competent practicing professionals.

DUES24 raises $70,000, will launch new platform July 1

When Louisville nurse Vanessa Williams-Harvey came up with the idea to create an electronic health record training platform, she wanted to bring it to market stat.

“I was naïve enough to think two years ago … that in three or four months, we’d be up and running,” Williams Harvey said. “I needed to learn my market. I needed to develop a strategy. I needed to learn how to be an entrepreneur, basically. … I wasn’t ready for prime-time then.”
